An easy, no-pressure way for grandparents (and anyone else who's out of the loop) to actually understand what Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Garbage Pail Kids, and Disney Lorcana cards are all about - what to look for on a card, which ones are worth real money, and how to talk to a grandkid about their collection without feeling lost.
Real screens from the real app.

Pick one and the guide walks you through it at a comfortable pace.
Plain language, a real card broken down piece by piece, and nothing assumed going in.
Where the game came from and when, without the trivia overload.
An interactive diagram that points out exactly what each part means - the name, the rarity symbol, the stats, all of it.
Most collecting today has nothing to do with playing, but it still helps to know the basics.
Real examples that have sold for serious money, with links to see them for yourself and pointers to where people check current prices.
The tells that separate a real card from a cheap reproduction.
Look up a term, or test what you've picked up so far.
Big text, clear layout, and zero jargon assumed going in. There's a text size control (Normal, Large, or X-Large) for anyone who wants larger print, a choice of color styles (Cozy, Dark, or Bright), and everything is organized into short tabs instead of one long overwhelming page. It's meant to feel like a friendly conversation, not a manual.
Trading cards have quietly turned into a multi-million-dollar hobby world, and most of today's grandparents are watching from the outside. Their grandkids are collecting, trading, and sometimes playing these games seriously, and a single card can be worth anywhere from a few cents to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Most guides written about this stuff assume you already know the basics. This one doesn't.
A lot of grandparents just want one honest, non-condescending way to understand what their grandkids are so excited about, so they can ask a good question or two and actually mean it. That's the whole goal here: not to make anyone an expert, just to close the gap enough for a real conversation.
The guide is built and working, covering six games in full, with more planned. It's still in development ahead of an official public launch, and a Play Store release is planned down the line.
Built independently and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, Konami, Wizards of the Coast, Bandai, Topps, Ravensburger, or Disney. Every fact and figure is sourced from public, publicly verifiable information, and every card sale mentioned links back to where it was reported.
Questions, bugs, ideas: all welcome.
