privacy

Here's exactly what
we do, and don't.

No legal jargon, just a plain answer to the question people usually ask us: where does my information actually go?

// the short version

No accounts. No bank connections. No ads. We don't sell data, because we don't collect any to sell. Whatever you enter into a RobKate app, whether it's a bill amount or a pet you're comparing, stays stored on your own device unless you choose to back it up yourself.

// inside the apps

None of RobKate's apps ask you to sign up or log in. There's nothing to create, and nothing tied to your name, your email, or a password. The data you enter lives locally on your phone, not on a server somewhere.

A couple of apps offer an optional backup feature, for example saving your bills to your own Google Drive or email. That's a feature you turn on yourself, and it sends your data to an account you already control. It never passes through us.

// the technical basics

Here's the part worth being upfront about: like virtually every website, this one runs through a hosting provider, and that hosting layer automatically keeps a basic technical log of each visit, things like your IP address, your browser type, and the time of the request.

This isn't something we asked for or built ourselves, and it isn't something we're able to turn off. It's simply how the web works, the same as it is on nearly any other site you visit today. We don't read that log, analyze it, sell it, or use it for anything. There's no analytics script running on this site, no ad tracker, and nothing following you from page to page.

If that ever changes, this page changes with it.
